Day 1 Arrive Mexico
Welcome at Mexico City airport by our representative and private transfer by air-conditioned vehicle/coach to your hotel.

Day 2 Mexico
Panoramic city tour: along the prestigious Reforma Avenue to the historic city centre (UNESCO World Heritage), where the Palace of Fine Arts (Opera House), the Zocalo (Main Square) flanked by the Cathedral, the National Palace Government Buildings and the remains of the Templo Mayor are located.

Then drive to pass the monument of the Revolution and on to the Chapultepec Park and the residential area of Polanco with elegant shops, boutiques, chic restaurants, galleries and embassies. Duration approx. 4 hours.

The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Mexico City surprises many visitors, because it is an unexpected green city with a mixture of colonial, traditional and ultra-modern architecture with plenty of art sculptures as well as a widely functional public transportation system of Metrobus and Underground. Day 03 Mexico
Tour to visit the Shrine of Guadalupe, the centre of Indian Catholic worship in Mexico. On the way stop at the Square of the 3 Cultures. Then continue to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan (UNESCO World Heritage site) north of the city, the largest discovered ancient Indian city of Central America. Remarkable are the Street of the Dead, the Citadel, the Temple of Quet-zalcoatl, Sun- and Moon Pyramids..

Day 04 Mexico – Taxco (By Road) (176 kms / 3 hrs appx)
Transfer from Mexico to Taxco, a colonial little town (protected as national monument) famous for its silver smiths. Intermediate stop in Cuernavaca, city of the eternal spring to see the Cathedral and the palace of Cortes. On arrival in Taxco guided walking tour of the city including a visit to the beautiful church of Sta. Prisca, the market and the silver bazaar, including information about the silver processing and opportunity for shopping.

Day 05 Taxco – Acapulco Guerrero (By Road) (245 kms / 4 hrs appx.)
Transfer Mexico-Acapulco passing through the Sierra Madre to the Pacific coast on the motorway “Ruta del Sol”. On arrival City tour cliff divers. On this tour you will be able to discover the most interesting places in Acapulco. Travel along Costera Miguel Aleman and continue along the scenic highway which offers striking panoramic views of Acapulco bay and Puerto Marquez for stunning coastal views.

The highlight of this tour is to watch the famous spectacle of the High Divers of Acapulco, while sipping a cool Margarita cocktail. The show is unique in the world. Panoramic city tour shows you all the highlights of the southern part of the city: Insurgentes Avenue, the historic colonial Coyoacan with its Zocalo and the Blue House. Head south to the floating gardens of Xochimilco for a ride on a trajineras through the ancient canals (flowers, bever-ages and Mariachi music extra). On the way back down-town, pass the University Cityand and end the tours at the Museum of Anthropology, considered a cultural “must see” in Mexico City. Operating daily except Mondays. The Tour Will First Stop At The Plaza Of 3 Cultures, So-Called Because Of The Ruins Of An Aztec Temple, A Church From The Spanish Conquest And A ‘Modern’ Housing Estate All To Be Seen In The Area.

The Tour Continues To The Basilica Of Guadalupe – The Most Important Religious Shrine In All Mexico And America’s Pilgrimage Center, The People Can Appreciate The Old Basilica As Well As The Newer Building. Day 04 Mexico – Merida (By Flight)
Transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Merida/Yucatan. On arrival welcome by our local representative and transfer to your hotel.

Day 05 Merida 
City tour of Merida visiting the Cathedral, the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History, the Montejo Residence as well as the Zocalo and the Market. Duration approx. 3 hrs. Early afternoon tour to Uxmal (UNESCO World Heritage) including the best Light & Sound Show in Mexico, where you can admire the impressive drama of the history of this amazing people. The Mayan town of Uxmal, in the Yucatan, was founded in about 700 AD and had about 25,000 inhabitants.

Its buildings, which date from between 700 and 1000, are arranged according to astronomical knowledge of the period. The Pyramid of the Soothsayer, as the Spanish called it, dominated the ceremonial centre which comprises carefully-designed buildings richly decorated with symbols and with sculptures depicting Chaac, the rain god. Day 06 Merida
Excursion to celestun, a 59,000 ha wide natural reserve about 90 km from Merida. In a tropical setting at a river entering the Gulf of Mexico you will observe pink flamingos, cormorants and other species in their natural habitat. Overnight in Merida.

Day 07Merida – Chichen Itza (By Road) (122 kms / 1 hrs 23 mi appx )
Drive to picturesque colonial village of Izamal, where the main square of the Monastery of S. Anthony of Padua is the 2nd largest arcade place in the world next to St. Peter’s square in Rome. After a short visit continue to the Pyramids of Chichen-Itza, UNESCO World Heritage and one of the most important religious sites of the Mayan culture, where you will see the pyramid Kukulcán, the ball game court, the observatory and other buildings.

This site is one of the most impressive testimonies to the Mayan-Toltec civilization of the Yucatan (10th to 15th centuries). It contains some of the most outstanding examples of Central American architecture, combing Mayan construction techniques.

Day 08 Chichen Itza – Riviera Maya (By Road) (298 kms / 3hrs appx )

Day free for leisure at one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico with very fine, white sand and the Caribbean turquoise blue water. Playa del Carmen, 60 km from Cancun, was originally a typical fisher-men’s village, which has prospered to become the most bohemian town at the Riviera Maya. Besides of excellent beaches at the Mexican Caribbean, Playa del Carmen is characterized by a charming city centre with pedestrian zones with plenty boutiques and restaurants; street cafés and bars invite for strolling and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

Out To Tepotzotlan, Where One Of The Greatest Treasures Of The Colonial Era Lies, – The Museo Virreinal Which Was Originally The Church Of San Francisco Javier, Built From 1670 To 1682, The Façade, With Its Single Tower Is A Phantasmagoric Array Of Carved Saints, Angels, People, Plants And More, While The Interior Walls Are Covered With A Circus Of Gilded And Multicoloured Ornamentation.

It Was In The 1960s That The Church, Its Adjacent Monastery And Peaceful Gardens Were Restored And Transformed Into The Museum. After Visiting This Impressive Museum You Will Carry On To The City Of Queretaro, Conquered By The Spaniards In 1531, Becoming -In The Early 19th Century- A Centre Of Intrigue Among The Criollos Plotting To Free Mexico From Spanish Rule.

There Will Be A Short Walking Tour Of The Centre Of The City, Which Looks So Much Like A Typical City Of Spain. Continuing On From Here The Next Stop Will Be The Lovely Town Of San Miguel De Allende, Which Is An Attraction For Artists Of All Types, Because Of Its Beautiful Cobble-Stoned Streets Lined With Bougainvillaea And Houses Opening Out Into Courtyards. Day 05 Guanajuato (By Road) (245 kms / 4 hrs appx)
The day Will be devoted to a visit to this most famous Colonial City. For Two Centuries Almost 40% Of The World’s Silver Was Mined In Guanajuato, The Silver And Gold Mines Found Here Were Among The Richest In The World, Many Of The Colonial Structures Built From This Wealth Remain Intact, Making Guanajuato A Living Monument.

We will visit such famous buildings as the cathedral, containing a jewel-covered image of the virgin, patroness of guanajuato, given to the city by phillip ii of spain in thanks for riches which accrued to the crown and of course the famous “callejón del beso”, the narrowest of the many narrow alleys (or “callejones”), legend says that lovers living on opposite sides used to exchange furtive kisses from these balconies.

You will feel as if you are in ‘old spain’ as you walk through this marvellous legacy of the spanish conquest. Return to the hotel and at night there will be a chance to hear one of the typical “estudiantina” bands which perform in the streets of Guanajuato. Overnight in Guanajuato

Day 06 Guanajuato – Morelia
You will dLeave Guanajuato And Drive South To The State Of Michoacán And Its Beautiful Capital City Of Morelia, Officially Founded In 1541. Virrey Antonio De Mendoza Named It Valladolid, After The Spanish City Of That Name And Encouraged Families Of Spanish Nobility To Move Here. These Families Remained, And Maintained Valladolid As A Very Spanish City,

At Least Architecturally Until 1828. Even Today, With Its Downtown Streets Lined By Colonial Buildings, Morelia Still Looks As Spanish As It Probably Did Before Independence. The Scenic Drive Will Take You Past The Lovely Lakes Of Yuriria And Cuitzeo – The Road Actually Runs Along A Causeway Over The Latter Lake.

On Arrival In Morelia There Will Be A Walking Tour With The Magnificent Cathedral Being The Centre Of Attraction, It Took Over A Century To Build, From 1640 To 1744, Architecturally, It Is A Combination Of Herresque, Baroque And Neo-Classical Styles. It Has A Sculpture Of The Senor De La Sacristia Made From Dried Maize And Topped With A Gold Crown From The 16th Century Spanish King Phillip Ii.  Overnight in Morelia

Just a short drive away from Morelia.Is The Peaceful Lake Of Patzcuaro. This Will Be The Destination For The Day. You Will Pass Through Small Villages With Such Names As Tzintzuntzan (Place Of Hummingbirds In Purepecha Language) Before Reaching The Lake. On Arrival You Will Board A Launch Which Will Take You Out To The Island Of Janitzio, The Largest Island In The Lake.

The Launch Trip Offers Views Of Villages Along The Shore While Local Fishermen Demonstrate The Use Of Their Famous Butterfly-Shaped Fishing Nets. There Is A Huge Statue To The Independence Hero, Morelos, Dominating The Island, Inside The Statue Is A Set Of Murals Depicting His Life, You Have The Choice To Climb Up Inside All The Way To His Raised Fist, From Which There Is A Terrific View.
