We Depart to Panajachel, the City is Located At Lago De Atitlán. Afterwards We Gead to Chichicastenango to See the Famous Local Indian Market. Departure to Guatemala City and Accommodation in Selected Hotel.

Guatemala Tour | 07 Nights / 08 Days

Day 01: Arrival Guatemala City
Upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel in Guatemala City for accommodations.

Day 02: Guatemala City – Quirigua – Rio Dulce Or Mariscos
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Quirigua is one of the smallest Mayan Cities, but one of the most notable due to its splendid series of monuments. Most likely founded in the Late Pre-Classic era and flourished until the 10th century until Quirigua was abandoned for unknown reasons. The archaeological site of Quirigua contains the largest stela ever discovered in the Mayan world. At the indicated time, transfer to Mariscos or Rio Dulce.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Mariscos Or Rio Dulce – Livingston – Flores
After Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Rio Dulce departs in boats for the visit the village of origin garífuna Livingston with his music reggae and Punta, coconut bread, etc. To continue with the boat ride, we arrive upward the river, you are able to appreciate vegetation and a natural canyon. The boat will lead you through the Canals. Then, you will arrive to Rio Dulce. You will also visit Castillo de San Felipe de Lara and be able to appreciate a panoramic tour, this castle was built in XVII Century by Spanish as a way to avoid looting in warehouses, which were located at the shore of the lake. Later on, we lead ourselves to visit la Ciudad de Flores. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04:  Flores – Tikal – Flores – Guatemala City
After Breakfast at the hotel.
At the indicated time, you will be transferred to Tikal to visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, Mundo Perdido and temple IV from where you can observe the majesty of the city and the emerald green jungle. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the Mundo Maya International to aboard the flight to return to Guatemala City. Upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations.

Day 05: Guatemala City – Chichicasa Tenango – Lake Atitlan
After Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer from your hotel to the Guatemalan Highlands along the Panamerican Highway to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town surrounded by hills and mountains that jealously keep the inhabitants’ traditions, as they melt their prehispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old church of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiosity. People barter their product and the market explodes with color, tradition, and folklore. At the indicated time, transfer to Panajachel, a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Considered as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, also three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolimán, and San Pedro are protecting the lake. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

Day 06: Boat Ride Santiago Atitlan – Antigua Guatemala
After Breakfast at the hotel.
At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to Santiago Atitlán. This village is located on the south part of Lake Atitlan, on the slopes of the Atitlan Volcano. On a very short walking, you will visit the church of Santiago Apostol and then visit the confraternity of Maximón. At the indicated time, transfer from Panajachel to Antigua Guatemala.
Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 07: Antigua Guatemala
After Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure from your hotel to visit Antigua Guatemala America’s Colonial Monument, Antigua Guatemala, named so by the beauty and greatness of the colonial buildings. The town is protected by the surrounding eternal guards, the Volcanoes of Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Antigua was founded in 1543, as the third capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala and partially destroyed in 1773 by the Santa Marta Earthquakes. Go over cobblestoned streets to visit the Plaza de Armas, Palace of the Captains, the Cathedral, churches, and monasteries. Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. You will also visit nearby towns of San Antonio Aguascalientes and Ciudad Vieja.  At the end of the tour, return to your hotel for accommodations.

Day 08: Depart Antigua Guatemala
Transfer to Airport for boarding the flight that will take you home or an optional tour.

Guatemala Tour | 07 Nights / 08 Days

Day 01: Guatemala City Arrival – Antigua
Welcome to Guatemala! At the airport, our representative will meet you for your transfer to your hotel in Antigua.
Antigua is among the world’s best conserved colonial cities in the Americas. It is a magic and captivating small town that makes you feel time might have stopped 300 years ago. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings; strolling through town on the cobblestone streets, you will experience the splendors of ancient times! A few things you will find are art galleries and exhibits, coffee shops, amazing cuisine, cute little bars and much more.

Day 02: Antigua
After breakfast,
your guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel to explore Pacaya Volcano. The hike to the summit takes around 2.5hrs. After the trek, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Antigua.
Pacaya volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the region. With 2,500 mt above the sea level, Pacaya is one of the youngest volcanoes with beautiful views toward the valleys and three other volcanoes (Agua, Acatenango and Fuego). Hike along a trails of humid forest and beautiful views to reach the summit.

Day 03: Antigua
After breakfast,
your driver will take you to the biking start point. Of a total 30 kms aprox. only 3 kms of this ride will be steep, this will be the track from San Antonio Aguas Calientes to Ciudad Vieja. The rest of the circuit is flat. Lunch will be held at a local house in Zamora where you will get to meet the local people and learn a bit more about their customs and traditions.
Afterward, your driver will take you to meet your guide and show you the secrets and architecture of this beautiful colonial town.

Day 04: Antigua – Lake Atitlan
After breakfast,
Today, at the time of your choosing, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Lake Atitlan and your overnight accommodations.
Lake Atitlan
With three stunning volcanoes rising out of its emerald surface, Lake Atitlán is for sure the best way to be introduced to the indigenous culture in the highlands of Guatemala. Located 144km west of Guatemala City this lake is characterized by its natural beauty and surrounded by gorgeous views and indigenous villages filled with culture. The famous writer Aldous Huxley considered it ¨the most beautiful lake in the world¨.

Day 05: Lake Atitlan
After breakfast,
Today’s adventure takes you high into the mountains on a very strenuous through maize fields, coffee fields, old growth forest, and into the cloud forest.
your guide will take you by boat to Santa Cruz to start your 3-4 -hour hike, taking you 2500 feet above the waters of Atitlan for breath taking views and pristine scenery. Visit a sacred Mayan site. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way, or in a local comidor. Then you will visit the second largest market in Guatemala.
Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 06: Lake Atitlan
After breakfast,
your guide will meet you at the lobby and take you to Santa Cruz. You will paddle by kayak for 1 ½ -2 hours along the shores of Santa Cruz la Laguna, El Jaibalito, and Tzununa, ending in San Marcos.
You will then hike along ancient paths that have been used by the Maya for centuries. You will see villagers going about their daily life, encounter farmers tending their maize and coffee fields and fishing from their kayaks. This rugged and remote section of Lake Atitlan has barely been touched by the outside world.

Day 07: Lake Atitlan – Flores – Peten
After breakfast ,
Enjoy the day to rest or discover more of Atitlan. When you are ready, your driver will take you to the city for your afternoon flight to Flores. Upon arrival to Mundo Maya airport, our representative will transfer you to your hotel.
Peten
The area of Petén is the largest department of Guatemala; it occupies about a third of the country but contains only three percent of its population. This area produces wood, chewing gum, oil, pepper and other agricultural products. Its main income comes from the worldwide known cradle of the Mayan civilization.

Day 08: Peten
After breakfast,
Enjoy the morning at your leisure until your guide meets you again for the Yaxhá sunset tour, enjoy a beautiful sunset on top of a pyramid. After the tour, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
Yaxhá is an archaeological site and ancient ceremonial center of Mayan civilization situated in the northeast of Peten. This site is a mixture of archaeology, beautiful landscapes and ecological tourism. With more than 500 structures in the site, including 40 stelea, 13 altars and 9 pyramids this site is a must when visiting the area.

Day 09: Peten – San Ignacio
After breakfast,
your tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and transfer you to Tikal National Park. Your guide will show you the layout of the temples, architecture, history, some theories of why they disappeared and if you are lucky a few monkeys, parrots, macaws and toucans will be on site. After the tour enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle on site. Please note that this is a shared group tour.
After lunch a private transfer will take you to your accommodations in San Ignacio. Transfer time is about 2.5 hours. On arrival, check in and enjoy the remainder of the day free.
Tikal
City and ceremonial center of the ancient Maya civilization. Tikal became an important ceremonial center with the construction of major pyramids and temples. Its best years were the Late Classic Period (600-900AD). Tikal National Park contains some of the most fascinating archaeological remains of the ancient Maya Civilization. Excavated by Pennsylvania University between 1956 and 1969, Tikal is the largest excavated site in the American continent. It is Guatemala´s most famous cultural and natural preserve.

Day 10: San Ignacio

Day 11: San Ignacio – San Pedro
After breakfast,
your driver will transfer you to Belize City for you to take your water to San Pedro. Upon arrival, your driver will take you to your hotel for overnight.
San Pedro
San Pedro is a bustling beach town located on the southern part of Ambergris Caye island. The island measures 25 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest point, creating a long and thin slice of land that is ideal for the most beach side access. The picturesque town boasts clear turquoise waters, soaring coconut palms and a laid back quality. The perfect base to explore the Belize Barrier Reef, this area affords plenty of opportunity to discover the wonders of the underwater world.

Day 12: San Pedro

After breakfast,
Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley Snorkeling Tour
This morning you will be transferred to the Hol Chan Reserve for an amazing snorkeling tour! The southern tip of Ambergris Caye is the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Hol Chan is Mayan for ‘little channel.” This sanctuary was officially established in 1987, and since then the return of all species of fish has been quite dramatic.
Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley are approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south of San Pedro Ambergris Caye. It is the single most popular day trip from San Pedro, perfect for snorkeling or diving. Enjoy endless sights of jacks, tarpon, snook, and manta rays, just to name a few of the over 160 different species of fish identified at Hol Chan.

Day 13: San Pedro – Belize City Departure

This morning you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport in good time to board your domestic flight to Belize City and your connecting flight home.
