Highlights of Ghana | 04 Nights / 05 Days
Accra – Cape Coast – Accra

Day 01 : Arrive Accra
You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02 : Accra
This day’s tour will take us through the principal streets of Accra to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which was named after the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The park was formerly known as the Polo ground where Dr. Kwame Nkrumah stood to declare Independence for Ghana. It is the final resting place for the late President and his wife, Madam Fatia Nkrumah.
Continue your drive through Makola Market to the Old City of Accra, James Town. Learn about history and culture of the indigenes of the Gas.
Other sites to visit are: The W.E.B. Du Bois, the Independence Square, the Arts and Crafts Bazaar where you will find all kinds of African products from beads, crafts, cloth etc, the national museum.
Stop at the National Theatre; see the “female and male “drums which are used during state ceremony

Day 03 : Accra – Cape Coast
Depart for Cape Coast and Elmina, arriving late morning for a tour of Cape Coast before checking into your hotel. This afternoon visit Elmina Castle, a World Heritage site where slaves were held before being sent to the New World. This evening observe the colorful fishing boats in preparation for the usual overnight fishing expeditions.

Day 04 : Cape Coast – Accra
This morning travel to Kakum National Park. Kakum is one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, a 1000 foot long, seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above ground. 
This afternoon visit the Cape Coast Castle and the Castle Museum for a guided tour. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to the “Door of No Return”.

Day 05 : Cape Coast – Accra – Depart Accra
After breakfast depart to Accra. Arrive for your last shopping. You a transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

Accra –Kumasi – Elmina – Kakum – Elmina – Accra

Day 01 : Arrive Accra
Arrival at Accra, Ghana airport meet, assist and transfer to hotel for check in & short orientation. Overnight at Accra.

Day 02 : Accra
After breakfast, proceed to visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and museum, dedicated to Ghana’s first post-independence President. A drive through the colonial section and view Ussher and James Forts built by the Dutch 1650 and British 1673 respectively. The Light House which used to guide ships to the Accra Harbour in colonial days. National Museum, Independence Square & Arch and the central business district Craftsmen at Teshie/Nungua who make fantasy coffins in the shape of vegetables, fruits, cars, airplanes etc. Arts and Craft market, Osu, nicknamed Oxford Street because of the 24/7 numerous commercial activities. Overnight at Accra.

Day 03 : Accra – Kumasi
After breakfast, check out of hotel. Depart Accra to Kumasi, Ashanti Region. City tour of Kumasi, capital of the former Ashanti Empire. Visit Manhyia Palace Museum, Prempeh 11 Museum. Overnight at Kumasi.

Day 04 : Kumasi
After breakfast, proceed to Kumasi Central market, the largest open air market in West Africa. Ahwiaa; where woodcarvers produce Ashanti stools, fertility dolls & walking sticks. Ntonso: Adinkra dyeing cloth dye is an extract from the bark of a tree called badie. Bonwire: Kente cloth weaving. Overnight at  Kumasi.

Day 05 : Kumasi – Elmina
After breakfast, check out of hotel. Depart Kumasi to Elmina in the Central Region. Arrive in Elmina check in at your hotel and take the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Elmina.

Day 06 : Elmina – Kakum
After breakfast, proceed to visit Kakum National Park, a tropical rainforest in the heart of the Attandaso Reserve for an adventurous and breathtaking walk on the ‘Canopy Walkway’ 100ft off the ground.
Afternoon visit to Cape Coast & Elmina Castle, both UNESCO Monuments. Overnight at Elmina.

Day 07 : Elmina – Accra – Depart Accra
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon depart Elmina to Accra. Departure transfer to onward destination.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Depart Accra to Wli water falls in the Volta Region. It is the highest waterfalls in West Africa. Overnight at Ho.

Day 04 : Ho – Tafi Monkey Sanctuary
After breakfast, proceed to early morning departure to Tafi Monkey Sanctuary, an example of traditional conservation. In the afternoon visit the Kente cloth weavers in Kpetoe.
Return to Ho and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Ho.

Day 05 : Ho – Kumasi
After breakfast, check out of hotel. Transfer from Ho to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Stop over to visit a local cocoa farm & village. Overnight at Kumasi.

Day 06 : Kumasi
After breakfast, proceed to Kumasi Central market, the largest open air market in West Africa.

After breakfast, travel to visit Nzulezu, a village on stilts constructed on Lake Tadane. Experience how the villagers live their daily lives on water.
No visits on Thursday which is a sacred day. Return to Elmina. Overnight at Elmina.

Day 10 : Elmina
After breakfast, Free day. Spend the day relaxing at the beach front or by the pool side. Overnight at Elmina.

Day 11 : Elmina – Accra – Depart Accra
Spend the morning packing or at leisure. In the afternoon depart Elmina to Accra. Departure transfer to onward destination.
